We’ve just accepted a last minute request to appear at our own village fête tomorrow, Saturday 16 July.
The organisers have been let down at the 11th hour after the people who had committed to bringing the village’s beagle pack to do a turn cried off yesterday due to “staff holidays”. Extraordinary!
We had a cancellation ourselves this weekend and so were intending to go to our own village fête as punters rather than performers. But now we’ll appear at no cost, as the funds raised will go towards the restoration of the village hall, one of my drinking haunts, so I have a vested interest!
It’ll be fun to perform in front of my neighbours and be the target of the inevitable and merciless ribbing!
We’re on at 1pm on the Village Green if you can make it. There’ll be loads to do, see, eat and drink!
