These 2 photos demonstrate the difference between an experienced dog and a young hooligan!
We’ve been training at Mullenscote Gundogs with Howard Kirby recently. I’ve been helping Howard run the puppy, foundation, bronze, silver and gold courses which run every weekend. During breaks, I have been running Poppy and Daisy so that they get some exercise.
We tried to do the jumping course. Poppy went first with Daisy not far behind. Here is Poppy’s attempt:
She hops up on to the top rail, has time to balance, pose for the camera and then serenely hops down. Minimum of fuss and effort, under complete control.
Compare this with the delinquent, full-on, hooligan Daisy. This is what she looked like:
Unsurprisingly, this Eddie the Eagle launch into the unknown ended in tears with Daisy landing on her head. With only her pride bruised, she was fine and wanted to do it all over again.
