This is me handling a new client – Noa. I was commissioned by my daughter in Malta to come and sort out a few teething problems.
Noa comes from excellent breeding stock. Our first lesson was to get her to focus using treats. Limited success here, although she seemed to be searching for something I couldn’t provide. Her Mum showed me how to do a left and right later.
Next, on to sit / stay. Brilliant! I left her for 5 minutes in a blue hoop and she didn’t move!
She is quite happy about lying down to flush – in fact we have done quite a lot of flushing lately.
Bit concerned about the yipping though. Just a tad noisy to sit on the peg. I might try an e-collar and see if that sorts the problem out.
Recall needs some work. The back command also met with a blank stare and a burp.
Heel work was the best though. Figure of 8 lead around the pram and she followed me everywhere. She’s a natural.
This one is a sure-fire champion. Good blood, excellent sit / stay and heel work – and all this at 2 months of age. Watch out Openshaw, we’re coming for you!
