The day is nearly upon us – the Salisbury Show. It’s a different venue for us with many more people expected to attend than our normal village fetes, country shows etc. This adds a little pressure, so we’ve been rehearsing every day and trying to get the tricks honed. But, as both Barry and my wife mentioned, it’s OK when things go wrong, as not only do these little mishaps raise a giggle but they also show that the dogs are not robots and have a mind of their own. Plus, it allows people to watch how I correct the dogs without fuss or causing distress. So perhaps I shouldn’t rehearse too much and just let it all happen. Que sera, sera!
