Took delivery of a new pro version of the Lite Launcher, a device to launch dummies by remote control from up to 200m away. This will be my 3rd such system, having had to return the first two a few years ago owing to electronics problems.
Anyway, I took it out this evening to give it a whirl. I quickly found out that the dummies I already have (which are used with the hand held launcher I bought from the same outlet) do not fit my new toy! The spigot on the new launcher is too big for my old dummies. I can’t help thinking that this is a bit naughty, as it compels the buyer to purchase new dummies to fit the new launcher. Wouldn’t it have been nice if they could have ensured that all their launcher dummies fitted all their launchers?
The launcher worked well during my test drive. But the gloss had been taken off somewhat by the little niggle with the dummies.
Perhaps I’m too much of a perfectionist or, more likely, have been left sufficiently jaundiced by my past experience with these items that I’m trying to find things wrong!
Anyway, so far so good. Let’s hope it stays this way.
