The Wessex Country Fair will be located in the Palladian Bridge field set in the beautiful Wilton House Estate, seat of the Earl of Pembroke.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THE POST CODE FOR WILTON HOUSE TO LOCATE THE EVENT ENTRANCE.

Entrance to the Wessex Country Fair site is via a gate in the stone park wall on the right-angled bend on the A3094 known as Netherhampton Corner. If you have sat-nav the post code is SP2 8PX.

After the heat of last week’s Ellingham Show, we’re hoping for a little cooler weather at the Wessex Country Fair this Sunday. Mind you, the hotter the temperature, the more visitors come along, so I suppose I should be careful what I wish for!

Even though I did forget to do a chunk of the routine last Saturday(!), it was one of the better performances this year, and our intensive re-programming of Poppy and her tendency to stick two fingers up at me half way through the performance paid off – sort of! On this occasion, she performed really well on those tasks that had gone slightly awry in the past and on which we had concentrated our training, but chose another hitherto perfect element of her display to down tools! I feel like I’m chasing my tail!

Daisy was, as always, a delight.

Anyway, last year’s Wessex Country Fair at the glorious Wilton House Estate was good fun with a large turnout: fingers crossed for a repeat performance. I’ve asked to be scheduled for an early afternoon performance and, following the display, will be running a dog training workshop for anybody wanting training advice.

Back to chasing my tail!
